| Depending on what is required to neutralize and max distance. Some Tac Rifle matches shoot out to 400 yards on distance stages and some matches require 3 hits on target for pistol caliber carbines. Some matches it is actually an advantage to shoot them when they are allowed. |

For creekside matches they are allowed but you cannot win prizes.Not sure if that is full time policy but i remember reading that for one of the matches.I would guess you would need 2 hits just like 223 to neutralize the target.308's only have to hit one time.Joe or outside will be along shortly to verify or correct me i am sure.Even if you were not allowed to win prizes you will have fun.
