The Fulton County Arts Council seeks writers to respond to, examine
and illuminate the feeling, mood, emotion, expectations, inspiration
and any personal or collective observation and/or reaction to the
historic election of Barack Obama, to the Presidency of the United
States. The work will be published in a newsprint format and on-line
under the title: November 5, 2008: The Next Day In America. Work
submitted must be written between 11:00pm November 4 – 12:00pm
November 6, 2008 while the impressions of this historic moment are
still hot. Send first drafts via email by 12:00pm Thursday, November
8, 2008. Those selected for the publication will be notified via
email
and given an opportunity to polish their drafts prior to publication.
Works selected will be published in a newsprint format and on-line.
Only those writers selected for the publication will be notified via
email. Writers selected for the publication will each receive 10
copies of the publication.

Submission Guidelines for November 5, 2008: The Next Day In America
–– Writers must live in the state of Georgia
–– All manuscripts must be submitted in the body of a Microsoft Word
document and attached to the email
––Submissions accepted by email only
–– Original poems up to 15 lines long. Single spaced.
–– Other submissions up to 500 words. Special length submissions will
be considered for exceptional ideas or styles. Double spaced.
–– Name, address, phone number, 25 word bio, and email address on
title page.
–– Deadline: November 6, 2008 – 12:00pm
–– Acceptance will be at discretion of the editor
