Hey guys me and a buddy plan on getting out there to shoot at creekside for our first time. It appears their website is down so I was wondering what the setup is. Is the rifle range separate from the pistol range and if so are you still permitted to shoot pistols on the rifle range or would it even be desirable granted all the targets aren't at far range. Also I've never been to an outdoor range so do you buy targets like you do at indoor ranges or what? I'm getting excited

Just curious but how do you get the targets out on the rifle range. Also you pay a flat fee correct? Not hourly so you are permitted to switch between ranges?

You have to pretend like you are in the Matrix and twist and turn to dodge bullets.

Just kidding, there will be a Range Safety officer on the firing line and will call the line cold to change targets/ go downrange.

I saw in your other thread that you were thinking about going out on Sunday, IIRC sundays the range is now closed to the general public.

And yes its a flat rate fee 20 dollars for the day, can switch as much as you want.

There is a pistol range, a 100 yd rifle range, a 50 yd rifle range, and a skeet range.  The range shack has cardboard target backers and paper targets.  The rifle ranges have a place to hang the target backers using clothes pins, but I would recommend using binder clips.  Targets must be hung on the provided setup and cannot be placed anywhere between the firing line and the target line.  A couple other things to be aware of: pistols are not allowed on the rifle ranges, chamber flags are required, and there is a three second per shot rule on the rifle ranges.  You can also shoot out to 300 yds on Monday and Tuesday.  There are member only benefits as well, if you are considering a membership.  For example, the range is closed every Sunday and Wednesday, but is available on those days to members.  Members can shoot out ot 500 yds.  There are two training pits available to members where you can do shoot and move training, shoot class 3 weapons, and shoot multiple targets.

By this you mean a chamber flag must be used while walking on and off range?

website should be up now, sorry we had some problems today, we are working on it, yes we are closed on sundays and wednesdays now for members only, the daily fee covers both the rifle ranges and pistol range, sorry for the inconvenience on Sunday but we are trying to make some more benefits for our members, it works out well for them, especially the ones with children

It's totally fine I was just bummed because that was the only day that was going to work out this week. I guess I'll plan for next, I look forward to it.
