| Before I say anything what are other peoples impression? |
|
...can suck a dick. there are only two guys there that are cool, ted and kurt (i think is his name), the chick doesnt know jack about guns, and russ, or rick what ever the hell his name is is an ass, either laughs in my friends faces cause they dont know much or ignore you or blow you off if you know what your looking at. range sucks, unless you like to work on low light shooting and love to inhale lead and powder and is expensive as hell. Pannells is where its at, the older john is really cool and i like to chill there and talk to them, good ppls. range is straight, and the pistol league is fun as hell (just wish i was in town every tuesdays). Jeff, the owner, well thats just his personality... oh and Dking, met your friend Rob Hyden at pannells, he says hi. |
While I dont disagree with your first statement.. I think Pannells is just as bad. Their range is by far the worst one in the state I've seen so far! |
Well when A new customer walks in and is IGNORED for 15 min when he wants to see a MkIII any bad impression they leave is well deserved in my book. I got to hear a story about how a guy wanted to trade one unfired rifle for another and there was some issue there. And how somebodies wifes cancer test came back fine but she told him all kinds of things BEFORE saying it was fine... And not once while I was at the pistol counter was I acknowledged or asked if I needed to see anything. I was looking at a bushmaster 308 and a nice guy unboxing stuff said I needed to go over there if I wanted any help. Only words spoken to me at all. So they may have good prices on sigs but if I can't see one it's hard to pay for it... Zombie targets well I have those. I was looking for a new range to shoot my GSG after work and buy guns. Guess I'll keep looking. |
| I have been there 4-5 times since he ownership changed and I cannot really tell any difference. I went in because somebody here (arfcom) had said that ownership had changed and that there was a new sheriff in town. I've never actually had an employee speak to me there. I've stood at the counter ogling a pistol and no one said a word to me. Put it this way, I drove right by Nicks/Eds or wtf its called yesterday to go to Adventure Outdoors to drop almost $1K on a gun, the thought of stopping by Nicks/Eds or wtf its called never even crossed my mind. I agree with furry |
Haha... I see what Fury means now about the Furry with an AK thing. As for Nick's, I never even got to go in there. I have tried to go a couple of times on holidays (lame ones like MLK day and such that are purely government holidays but te only ones I get), and it seemed they closed right before I got there. Not meant to be, I guess. Pannell's, OTOH, has always been nice to me and actually addressed me when I came in and when I was looking at things. I keep going in there, hoping to see something that isn't overpriced. I bought a Surefire G2 from them about a year ago, and it has blown two bulbs in the 5 minutes or so total I have used it (just turned on, no clicking or anything), which is not their fault. Other than the G2, I have yet to buy from them. |
damn engineer, THAAANNKKKK YYOOOUUU SOOO MUCHH for calling me out on that. I was hoping no one would notice
|
HAHA! Sorry.

i only go there if i absolutely have to shoot...i agree that the older guy w/a mustache and glasses as well as kurt are the only nice ones there. russ or whatever the big guys name, i think i can find better attitude from prison inmates... purely from a price standpoint, they're slightly competitive on a few things, but not much. and don't even get me thinking about the ar i ALMOST bought from them (left me w/a taste of sour spoiled milk in my mouth). |
