| When is the last day of the GA legislative session? In other words, when the action will effectively be over this year? |
|
I think it is dead. I'd be very surprised if it sees the light of day. Just my opinion, pure fuckery by the NRA and their hard-headedness about the piece-of-shit parking lot bill, coupled with a severe lack of stones by the senate that would have given the bill a vote if JUST ONE senator had demanded it is what killed it. My Senator Renee Unterman has been as useless as tits on a boar as far as I'm concerned, and I plan on working for whoever runs against her. Dumb bitch won't even answer constituent mail. |
I haven't heard jack from my senator, either. If he lets this die I'll be mighty pissed. I've never worked for a candidate's campaign before, but this has got me seriously considering it (if only for part-time due to work)... that's how angry I'd be. And I don't even have a GHL. |
I sure do hope that you dont have a GHL .... i heard that stuff was nearly impossible to get rid of |
|
I bet it will die. They are too busy counting the money they got from the auto insurance lobby for |
It will not die. Please stay positive in your contacts with your Senator, people. Seriously, there is a lot going on right now. It will not die. Be fully prepared not to get everything you want, but 2008 will be better than 2007. I cannot stress enough how important it is to keep from turning negative this week. |
I have been keeping it positive when talking to my reps and I have been talking to them regularly. If we don't get what we want this time, the support of this bill will eventually get it through, I was just pissed that anything that is bad mojo for the citizens of GA but good for big business passes with ease. I have faith that eventually they will do the right thing. |
