I need a recommendation for any pistol classes located in the Alpharetta area. Would like to find one geared to women shooters. Gotta friend that needs to learn sound handgun skills.

Thanks

I'd recommend Mike Benedict.  He's up in Jasper, and is holding a class on the 29th of this month.   If you shoot him an email, I'd bet he would do a one on one session as well.

What are you looking for in a class? Classroom instruction? Live fire? Tactical drills? (Does the rolling help?) Anyone with a little gun next to their online/membership star should be able to help you to some degree.

I would like to find a good Intro class to basic skills-safety/defensive shooting, for the beginner female. Said female will have access to a MkII .22 and a G-19. Will need both classroom and livefire.

DKING, thanks for yesterday, both were impressed.

The most important thing is for the young woman to learn to shoot using the guns she has at her disposal. She's better off learning with the guns she owns then borrowing the "perfect gun" from her friend.

Glad I could help.

Agreed, she will have "her own" at her disposal soon. Mean time she can get  the basics down with a loaner.

Again, thanks.

In my class on the 29th I will have a few loaner pistols and revolvers for folks that may not have a suitable pistol or who just want to try something different.
I have room for 2-3 more in the class

Put me down for 2 beginners (wife and daughter). They will have their own revolvers.

I have taken a 2 day course with Ken. I learned a lot and had a great time. He is no nonsense and guides you through drills you won't be able to do on most ranges. Well worth the money. I want to take a more advanced class when time/money permit. I also want to take a carbine class with him later, maybe later this year if possible.
