I just took in a Mega Machine Shop, Inc. AR15 on pawn.

It's all decked out ETC.

It looks like a quality piece, but this is the 1st time I've heard of a Mega, much less held one.

Their website is under construction so that was of little help.

What's the intel on this gun.

They are really awful, terrible even.  Not worth much, but I'll take it off your hands for cheap so some other poor bloke dosen't get stuck with it,  you know, just to help you out, and do my part and all that good stuff.

Great quality, great reputation. I would put it up against any other lower. Thing is that you have taken in a gun built off of a lower because unless I'm mistaken Mega does not make complete rifles.

http://www.carricozarmory.com/mega.htm

are two things that pulled up on google.

MEGA use to offer quality lowers and parts. Have not seen their name posted in a while.

I believe you are correct.

The lowers themselves seem to sell for a little more than some other brands, not that is necessarily an indication of anything but I did notice that in my search for a new lower.

I had an AR with a Mega lower and was better then most of the other larger, better known brands. Not much advertisement for them.

Also noticed something else odd about this lower.

It's marked Cal. Multi...

The upper is a marker SAW Custom and it's ATAS.

ATAS= All Tactical And Shit

I'll trade you another lower for it :)  my lower is marked 5.56 but I have a 7.52 upper on it.  I want a lower that is either unmarked or marked multi.

are you will to split it?

I'm not at liberty to do anything with it until the owner defaults on the loan. That's at least 40 days from today.

I would prefer to keep the package together if I do end up selling it.

As I understand it, they did make very few complete rifles, but it has been a while since they did.  Now they make uppers and lowers.  If the upper is not marked Mega, then there is no way it is a complete factory gun.  If it is marked Mega, then it is still very unlikely that it is a factory gun.  They are excelent quality (sorry countercontagion) by the way.

Megas are some of the best lowers I've dealt with yet.  Definately #1 on my list right now.

ETA:  All mega lowers are marked as Multi Caliber.

Saw Custom is/was a guy in Hillsboro, just outside of Macon. I think he had some uppers marked at one time.

Makes sense since we are so close to Macon. The guy that pawned it told me he had it custom built.

It really is a nice package.

They r great quality.  I have had 2 at one time and am down to a 9mm stirpped lower.  (marked 9mm with the gator grip).  Really nice engraving and finish.
