The entire Georgia Senate couldn't muster up one testicle and get HB89/915 a vote. They sent it to committee by a unanimous consent vote (so there would be no recorded vote). If just one Senator had objected, the bill would have gotten a floor vote, but everybody checked their testicles along with their coats that morning because their "instructions" to the house were not followed that HB89 not be amended. It is a betrayal of the highest order if this thing doesn't make it out of committee, and I have already written Renee Unterman and informed her of my disappointment and reminded her that the wonderful thing about a representative government is that she gets a vote.....and that at election time so do I, and that she wasn't going to be getting mine or anyone I can influence between now and the next election. |
