Picked up two guns tonight.

1. Wingmaster 870 12ga

2. Stevens Model 87b 22cal

They were given to me by my father tonight. The wingmaster has nothing special about it other than it's the shotgun I learned to shoot on.

But the Stevens is alittle different. That rifle belonged to my Grandfather. He died when my father was a boy so I never knew him. I learned to shoot rifles on the Stevens.

Very cool. It is always nice to have heirloom guns, seems to give them more meaning. Mine would be a S&W nickel Plated M&P that my grandfather carried in Vietnam in 64'.

Never get rid of them my friend. As plain as they may seem, they are memories, and Heritage .Pass them to your kids and tell them stories of you hunting with them and so forth. Congrads, WarDawg

My grandfather gave me a Colt Trooper MK III. Had the cylinder re-blued. I need to get it new grips because it is one off if not the most accurate gun I own.

When my grandfather died back in 1977, I got his Stevens 20 GA single barrel. It's not worth much but I will keep it forever and pass it down. I've sent many squirrels and rabbits to their final reward with it.

I have an 1891 Argentine Mauser was originally my grandfather's. The rifle is 114 years old and still shoots like a champ. I did have to replace the spring in the internal mag, but I figure that at 114, it's about time to need something.

My father told me that when he can't shoot it anymore, I can have my favorite pistol. He has an early production Colt Detective Special .38 snubbie, finished in polished nickle, that I learned to shoot handguns with.
