I spend time traveling in NC and TN which my GFL covers...  and SC, which it doesn't. I'm assuming that I'll need a non-resident permit from a state that has reciprocity with SC. Any info on what the best solution to cover SC requirements might be? Thanks.

SC does not accept any licenses that allow non residents.  I work in SC, so it really sucks.

There are bills pending

ETA:  The only way that you can get an SC permit, is if you own land in the state.

Best you can do is keep it in your glove box like GA.

You can have the gun in your vehicle in the glove compartment or centre console, loaded or unloaded, but that's it.  I contacted the police there before I started travelling through the state to get to Charlotte on a weekly basis.

Did that for a year and never got stopped, but watch your speed in SC, they don't mess around with speeders.  Hot spot is the last 14 miles of I-85 SB for some reason.

Yes, this sucks.

I hope it changes.

You can also take it from your car to your hotel room (to a place where a tax has been paid to stay).
