Brand new RRA upper and lower - 7.5 in barrel SBR - shooting WWB with Pro Mags - I cant put a single magazine through it without jamming. The rounds are getting pushed into the case and getting stuck before going into the chamber. These are FMJs - I tried HP and it was a debacle. Any ideas fellas?

Im getting some help in the pistol caliber forum but wanted to see how my local boys got theirs up and running. I will try adjusting the mag block and have the ramp polished, any other ideas fellas? I need to borrow a steel mag too. I think next weekend ill go to hotshots and try to work on it.

Magazines do that. You need to try better mags. 2/3rds of my CProducts mags did that. None of my colt mags do.

Have a stock Colt 9mm carbine-works fine with ProMags and Colt mags too. Your weapon may have other issues other than mags.....

I'm not positive what you mean by this. Will single rounds feed and eject OK?

Is the incoming round hitting the shell casing that's being ejected? That is a common malfunction that seems to be caused by the magazine sitting too high in the block. In other words the top of the magazine can be too close to the ejector.

You can try re-positioning the magazine block, just don't move it so far that the magazine catch is dragging.

If we have a guy who KNOW what he's doing I wouldn't mind coming along to watch. I could bring a colt mag to try out as well to help trouble shoot.

Yep--it sounds just like a mag problem I've had.  My 9mm RRA is way too mag sensitive.  Fortunately mine works best with the cheapest mag available...

ETA: Yep DK--C-products mags were the culprit w/ mine.  RRA said adjust the mag block if you're just married to C-products and it'll work.

Try these--they're cheap, and work like gangbusters in my RRA 9mm: 44mag linky

The folks at C products told me I could send mine back and they'd modify them to work in the RRA for no charge. They told me what they do and I chose to do it myself. No dremel tool, you need a caliper and a small hobby file to enlarge the mag catch slot.

that's strange because my Cproducts have two different followers. one that works and one that doesn't. you can easily see the variation between the two the one that doesn't work has a sharper incline.

You must have one with the new generation followers, I thought those weren't available yet...

I run only older Colt mags in my Colt and SBR. So far no problems at all. Tried modified Uzi mags - not 100%. Never tried CP or Promags.
