Went to see Transformers today.  It was awesome.  I'd tell you about it, but I really hate it when someone ruins a movie by disclosing anything specific about it.  Nice special effects.
Oops sorry.

...just go see the thing for yourself.

I saw it, it was a throw back that's for sure. The voice of OP is the same as the cartoon. Nice touch. I'm going to buy a '09 Camero now too.

Yeah, I thought the use of the new Camaro was a nice marketing move for GM.

Did anybody else happen to see the 5:30 showing at Riverstone 15 in Canton on July 3rd?

Why was the 5:30 showing something special?

It wasn't, I was just wondering if by some crazy coincidence any ARFCOMers happened to be there.

Because I wonder stupid things like that.

How kid friendly is it? My 8 year old (almost 9) is dying to see it.

I have no clue cause I don't watch TV so I don't see the ads.

Language, violence, the usual. There were alot of kids when I went, but I would go see it before taking the kids if I were you. (you'll want to see it twice anyway)

Thanks, The language would bother me the most. May wait a while.

I took the kids (ages 7 and 11) to see it while on vac. in PA.  We went to the same drive-in that I saw Stars Wars at.  It was great, I can't remember them saying anything worse than sh*t twice, I've definately heard worse on tv at 8:30 at night.  I did tell the wife that the movie was proof that a good movie can be made that isn't filled with profanity.  Go see it, I'm sure you'll take the kids afterward.  By the way, total cost of admission for 2  adults and 2 kids at the drive-in was $18, I got 3 boxes of popcorn, some candy and a soda for $8 more, pretty cheap I think.  I forgot to add that it was a double feature, we also saw Shrek 3, not quite as good as transformers.

I just came back from vacation in PA also.

There is a humorous scene about the lead character's masturbation habits. I think it makes it un-friendly for male children under 12 and female children under 14. But that's my bias too.
