Ok book, this is probably more up your alley, I was watching UFC (Ultimate fighting championship) unleashed the other night, rory singer was fighting, (From athens) and I noticed he had advanced armament on his shorts. I thought this was add as most fo the guys have MAJOR ufc sponsors on their butts, But singer had Advanced Armament.com. ANyone else notice this? Also is AAC some kind of UFC sponsor? |

rory is a goof.... i worked out with him at the Hardcore Gym (in Athens, Forrest and rory's brother adam singer worked out there too...) i wouldn't be surprised if he appreciated the sound of a suppressed pistol.... funny thing, the gym they all worked out in (rory, Forrest Griffin, etc) was TINY, no air conditioning, no ring (just a few bags, 2 mats, and a radio. we used to run sprints around the parking lot of an old beat-down personal warehouse complex). memories... i miss college |
| Yeah, when forest went to the finals of the ultimate fighter season 1 they showed the gym. And he talked about how crappy it was all through the show, I wonder if he still works out there or if hes moved on to bigger and better things then what gave him his start. But it seems that gyms like that are the best ones, I used to work at a gym in mableton called raquetworld, They closed down and I started working out with one of the members (HUge guy) at another gym he knew of, It was a little hole in the wall VERY few machines, NO nautilus stuff, only like 4 benches. All the weights were "Seasoned" and 90% of the members there were extremely nice and freaking huge. I went from benching about 190- 265 in like 6 months, all the guys that went there were very serious, and very nice, They hated golds cause all the fakers that went there. That was 10 or so years ago, I joined a gym when I got out of the corps, a big chain gym, the biggest guy there wasnt even that big, and all the guys were all like "I am too hot for you" and acted like they knew everything about working out, but all they did was stand around and chit chat. I hated going there, mostly cause the guys got on my nerves, it seemed like they were always standing in front of whatever I wanted to use chatting about thier weekend. |
