Hey gang!  I have most of my firearms scheduled on my homeowners policy, however, as my collection grows, so does the premium.  I know that the NRA offers insurance to members, but are there any other good companies out there that offer affordable rates?  Who do you all have experience with?

By scheduling the firearms on my homeowners, I can choose the amount of insurance on each item.  I would be wanting to do the same with another carrier.

I would appreciate any help!

Thanks!

BTW: my ammo is rolling in and I need a Madison group shoot!!!

Mine are "Insured by Smith and Wesson".

No, actually, I was waiting to see what advice you got. I'm curious too.

I have mine insured through Historic Firearms.  You only have to list guns over $10,000.00 It covers theft and damage due to stuff like fires, but if your $12K M16 blows up due to bad ammo, you are SOL.  I really would not expected them to cover this anyway.  Chubb underwrites them and they get approval from the gang at Subguns, where lots of folks have collections over $100K.

Historic Firearms

I will not say how much coverage I have, but I do have to list both my M16 and MP5 as they are valued over $10K

Feel free to IM me for more details or just call them

I have mine insured throught my insurance company as well, Kinda funny the guy asked me why I needed so many guns, I asked him why he wanted to know? He said Witht hat many guns I wouldnt dare to try to break in your house, I kinda laughed and told him I was a collector.

My bro in law whos all rich and shit said You insured your guns for XXXX amount?! Why do you need that many guns. My reply, You have over 20,000 dollars inurance on your steroe equipment and another 50 on your wifes jewelry! His reply? Good call.
