I came across this, a local shop will be having a M4 build class next Saturday. They will have a retired Army Marksmanship Unit armorer instructing and will include a trip to the range and ammo to sight in and offer basic instruction and advice. The class includes a complete DPMS M4 kit and use of all tools and hands-on instruction. I've built a couple of lowers but never an upper so I am going to give it a try.  I attached the flyer They sent. It sounds like a neat way to get a new rifle and learn alot at the same time.

I thought you were supposed to do it yourself and screw up something once and skin a knuckle or two to really be proud.

I didn't really find building an upper too hard but I haven't built a lower yet. I could see that class being useful.

Class sounds cool for the guys who have never done it.

Looks like a good hook-up for people new to the black rifle.
Do you know the price?
I think it should catch on with other shops around the country and more people could get a better understanding of firearms and  to be able to assemble their own.
Would have been nice 20 or more years ago

I'm doing an online class this spring and am planning on doing one in Augusta around April in accosiation with a carbine class given by Tiger McKee of Shootrite Acadamy. I've been partnering with a fellow in Arizona now for 4 years doing online classes for 1911's with great success and we decided to expand it to the AR platform this year.

(Sorry if this is out of line Book, remove the post if necessary,no hard feelings, I just figured someone who is not a member here was getting a push and since some else asked about it, I'd give mine a little push.)

No prob, I finally got the Quicken software, so I'm one step ahead of where I was anyway's, of course the wife now wants to write my will for me, she just has no understanding of the important stuff, I can't die yet, there's way too many toys I still want and can finally afford.
