How are you wounding them? Gun? Knife? Knitting needles?

We need more information.

I work in Columbus, but live about 15 miles outside of town.

Sorry about that I didn't realize that's what hometown was.

I've been lurking for a couple of months now and since I bought my frist ar I thought I would come out into the open.

joker581 I get down your way a couple of times a year myself.

Quintin I'm also just outside of Columbus (in Phenix City).

Seeing as how close I am to post and considering what type of fourm this is I figure that there might be a few people in the area.

Argh, I drive down that pit every day to and from work.  The only "fond" memories of Venereal Drive I have are when I reach 520/280, about 13 miles from home.

Quintin that would have been my next guess. I get out your way from time to time.

Yes, tweeter your occupation is implied working on sandhill. I use to get over that way a good bit, but it's been 10 years since I was over there.

10mmfan it depends on what you mean by hotter, but it's my understanding that Columbus is 3rd just under Macon.

You guys who are giving your locations are just begging to get wounded!

I'll move this for ya!

Quintin I take it that you are in PC also.

I live on River Road... and work on Sand Hill.  My occupation is the one obviously inferred.

Isn't that the only place in GA that's hotter than Macon?

No sir, got lots of people that live over there though.  I live in Cusseta, about 15 miles east of Columbus.  Hit 520/280 eastward from the Racetrac on Victory Drive, and eventually you'll hit Podunk, or Cusseta.

I live in Cataula, which is a few miles north of Columbus. I lived in Columbus for most of my life, several years ago we moved to Cataula.

I'm down in Albany as well with some other arfcommer's here. We used to get to Columbus on a regular basis for some shopping sprees. We haven't done that in a little while though. Never went shooting though, but may have to make a trip sometime if it'll be worth it.

Sorry, I just had to! I'm a Harmony Church Graduate! We didn't have maids and butlers and hot-and-cold-running hookers.

I'm from the area as well, born and raised here actually. Anyone got someplace to shoot? Got some new rifles I need to try out and wouldn't mind sharing!

I've got kin in Phenix City and Smith's Station, AL. My great aunt lived in Ladonia. I don't get down there much anymore.

CSR I shoot most of my long guns over on some hunting land that I have. Which I need to go over there this weekend and try to set my sites in.

The best place to shoot in the Columbus area is the Ft. Benning Rifle and Pistol Club, cost is around $60.00 per year, open to military and civilians. I have been a member since the late 1980's, anyone needing a place to shoot in the area might check it out.

I am in Columbus as well.

The shop that burned down was Nationwide Pawn on Farr Rd. They had a fire Saturday night and will have to knock down the remains and rebuild. They hope to be open in temporary quarters in the same area in a couple of weeks.

The new shop that opened was Range Control on Wynnton/Macon Rd. It was open a couple of weeks and had a partnership breakdown and their FFL moved back to Birmongham. hey hope to get a licsense and reopen in a few weeks.

Cataula1 I went out there once to look at the range, but my timming wasn't real good as I had to turn around to go get my son from school. I've been meaning to get back out there just haven't had the time.

Soonerjlc sound like you might know the owner. Where abouts was Range Control on Wynnton/Macon Rd?

Range Control is in the small strip center next to Dominos Pizza near where Hilton Ave deadends into Macon Rd. They have a website: www.rangecontrolonline.com and as of this morning are still planning to reopen when they can get their FFL.

I did not know about Nationwide Pawn burning down, they had a huge selection of guns and reasonable prices.

Per David (co-owner) they will be back in a couple of weeks, keep themin your toughts.
