I'm thinking there has to be a source of ammo locally for a good price. Ga arms canned heat has hit 190 per 1k which is insane in my book. Anybody know of better/cheaper supplies of ammo local? |
| Honesty, between GA Arms stuff at that price and what JKiser has his BH stuff I'd rather get with JKiser and spend the extra scratch knowing I'll never have issues. Some guy at ACM that was shooting too told me he picked up 1k of Federal stuff for $240 at the gun show. Should have got some of that. |

i shoot the 62 grain as my barrel is 1/7 twist on both ar's. i have a real problem with 55 grain keyholeing at 25 yards. but as far as reliability i have had no problems in over 3000 rounds. i tried some older chinese that i got cheap and it was blowing the primers out ! i had both lowers have problems with primers getting into the trigger group and locking it up. so no more cheap old chinese for me thanks... i hope this helps you out. p.s i am currently paying 3.25 a box of 20 when i buy less than 500. and 150. a thousand here. but i buy local in hinesville ga. so i am not paying shipping. so screw 190 for reloads plus shipping.

Would you mind spilling the beans on this $150/1000 ammo source?

The American Ammo I ordered back in March for $115.00 per thousand arrived this week. This is commercial packaged, brass cased ammo. It's always been 100% in my M-16. My part of the order was 3000 rounds. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering 8-10k rounds at that price. TD |
I dragged my ass on that deal. Can you get any more? |
BH, I haven't seen their new price sheet. I'm sure you can get it for the same price I can since you are a dealer. I just get with my dealer and place an order piggyback on his. TD |
