Why would I want to show them where I was standing? Seems like an easy shot to me........aim for the light.

I might take that class, I like shooting lowlifes..

Sorry I re-read it. Low LIGHT...

I get plenty of practice shooting in the dark...I shoot with my eyes closed.

I'm in.

This might be an illuminating experiance. I would also like to attend.

Chris

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

I'd like to attend. I'd like to borrow a flashlight. I'm guessing it would be tough to strobe w/ a pocket mag light. I'm one of the heathens who does not carry a flash light. Guess I'll have to put one on the list. Be nice to see what people have and like.

I carry a SureFire E2e everyday. When I walk the dog at night I also take and primarily use a SureFire L5 Digital Lumamax. The Lumamax runs longer and has more splash, which is why it gets "dog duty". I have two E2e lights because I'm one of those guys big into redundancy.

You can borrow a light from me no problem. I also have some G2 Nitrolons and a G2Z.

To all, I spoke with Mike today and he is going to schedule this very soon. I'll keep everyone posted.

Surefire plastic G2, about $35. Excellent high power weapon light. I have no use for a $200 flashlight, crenelated bezel or not. If I can't shoot them or stab them I won't be able to crush their skull with my flashlight either.

Book,

Why would you get dog duty on your light...yuck. I don't want to borrow that one...

Thanks for the offer of a loan. Seems like lots of people like the G2s for the performance/cost.

What's wrong with a 4-D cell Mag light????

If you run out of bullets you can beat them with it.

Sometimes, though, you can't beat the sound of a 6 D-cell MagLite.

Unlike it's 4 D-cell brother, the 6 D-cell version is more of a solid "thunk".

Any date on this? Gotta give the "boss" as much notice as possible so I can leave her at home on the weekend w/ the munchkins.

The lock out feature, like on an E2e, allows you to turn the tailcap to a position the disable the tailcap button. It is protection against a light AD. I also much prefer the slimmer E2e for daily carry. It has a clip on it so I can clip it in my front pocket and it isn't in the way.

Wrong-o my friend, they do now. and water tight to 33 feet(but not operable).

And in a pinch it makes for a great quick and dirty hammer.

Arrgh, if it wasn't so friggin expensive for a plane ticket and such a pain in the ass to fly with guns, I would be there. I can just see it now, a TSA agent holding up a chest rig and tac holster, with all of its straps and stuff hanging out..."what is this, some kind of kinky S&M terrorist setup?...get yo ass against the wall!"

You could drive it in 8 - 12 hours depending on where you live and how fast you drive.
Link Posted: 1/22/2006 2:21:48 PM EDT
Yeah, I could, but a 20+ hour, 1500 mile round trip drive for a 4-6 hour class is pretty tough.

Go out to 14th & K late Friday night and take your 45 and a lot of ammo with you. You'll get plenty of low life/low light training.

Howdy Mike -

Can we get a suggested inventory for the class -- ammo, mags, mag pouches, safety equipment, pads, concealment clothing...

For those who haven't been up the range in the winter: it is cooler and breezier than in the suburbs, layer accordingly.

Link Posted: 1/27/2006 4:56:28 PM EDT
Put me down if you need a list. More than likely going to bring my dad, maybe brother. What's the fee for this one? +1 for the equipment list.

You will need
Pistol
Holster and mag pouch
spare mag
200 rounds ammo
flashlight
clear shooting glasses
fee is $25

That’s always been my technique. I figure that I will shine my Surefire in their eyes so that they will suffer the same, although involuntary, disadvantage. Afterwards I just empty my Glock in the general direction I feel the threat is coming from.

I would like to do this class if it is on the 4th and not the 11th. Let me know.

Mike,

Will the class still be held if its raining saturday night? The forecast isn't looking very good.
