I have heard that you can only use a 69 grain or lower which will feed through the mag. I was thinking of trying a 75 grain for some longer range.

The Black Hills 77Gr SMKs fit in the magazine, but you will need a 1 in 7 twist barrel to stabilize it effectively.  The round has good fragmentation and long range energy retention but it is expensive.

The 1-8" will shoot the 75s fine. Most HP shooters use a 1-8". All my rifles have a 1-8" twist.
I have some of the 75's for sale in the EE at a closeout price if you are interested.
