What are you guys/girls resolutions for the new year? 1.) Gain more shooting experience and start in competitive 2.) Get my own business up and running again 3.) anything else that I decide to do or needs to be done (that I cant think of right now)... |
1) My faith - become a better and stronger disciple and steward 2) My family - become a better husband and father ![]() 3) My health - too much to go into. ![]() 4) My finances - MAJOR debt reduction plan ![]() 4) My hobbies - more range time and more group shoots, build some quality friendships ![]() 5) Possibly explore self-employment - I'm never going to get rich working for Da Man! ![]() 6) Less time in GD and more time in Hometown forum!!! 7) Run for President ![]() One thing that I miss the most, and is most lacking in my life today, is the true "I got you back" type friendships that I had when I was in the military. We all knew back then that we could rely on one another for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. We knew that we either suceeded together or failed together. I don't have that now. Most of my private world friendships have been how much could I do for someone else. There has been NO reciprocity. That has forced me to cut ties and left me a little bitter and untrusting of others. I don't like that. |
I can totally understand and know how you feel. I am in the same boat as you |
![]() BH - sorry to here about the wife loosing her job, but you have to admit, BTB is dead on with THIS observation. |

| I don't really make resolutions since the first I tried many years ago were forgotten in a week of so. Our church starts the year with a 30 day fast. I'm starting it today. No food for at least the next 5 days. I may go to 9 days though. I'll finish the fast by fasting certain things, like no breads, no meat, no TV, etc. Not sure yet on the rest of it. |
