It was a good day yesterday. I was there, but I must admit that the range we were allocated to wasn't the best place to shoot. Though I'd prefered to shoot with rest of the AR15 gang, I found that 200 yards range near the entrance was much better range than that dark claustrophobic place. 200 yards range had 3 steel plates a top of the hill, and was much more open and cooler with a light breeze blowing in. Breycor and I had a good time shooting steel plate at 100(?) yards with AR and HKs. |

Yea I had a lot of fun yesterday. I hope Doctorhumbert and myself didn't seem unsociable by going to the other rifle range area - we relocated becauase it was just too crowded. Shooting the steel plates was great. The audio feedback it gives you is very cool. Jon (the owner I think) let me shoot my Starburst .223 (Incendiary, plus it makes a small explosion of titanium sparks) at the steel plates. Pretty neat effect. I'm just glad I didn't shoot too high and catch the woods on fire! I really like that range. It just wish there was a range like that close to me (Duluth). Thanks for letting me tag along. |
I am not sure about that. The border gaurds are pretty strict these days. We might be able to get him in if we pay off the right people we can get some false documentation. |
it's not 200. it 100 with elevated plates at 115. by the way were you the guys that said you "didn't need this redneck shit" and walked up there? mike |
