If you plan on making Cracker Barrel, look for a tall goatee'd guy with a tiger stripe boonie hat.  Be friendly and introduce your self.

Sorry, can't make it.  The coonass express (mom n dad) showed up today at the house unannounced.  They decided to make a road trip and not tell anyone about it.
Anyway, y'all have fun and I WILL make the next session.

Its no go for the Ghost-Shooter.  I just got a great opportunity to make some extra $$$!  I picked up a great shift: long distance transport oodles of overtime.  Being the greedy bastard that I am , I was all over that like ugly on an ape

I should be able to make Hooters too!

Keep me down as a possible.  I really don't know about humping it out to CE.  I don't have a "acceptable" target stand ready yet.  Besides, the Enfield is still down from the last time.  I have to get anther forestock for it.  When it broke this time it stripped and shattered the lugs in the stock and has a crack from the front trigger guard screw to almost the rear sight protector screw.
Its bad.

Hope to see you guys.  Maybe CB.

We will see.

We'll try to make Cracker Barrel as well, but we need to know where it is.  We'll definitely join you guys at Hooters.

Ok the easiest way to Cracker Barrel is take I-285 on the east side to I-20E to exit 82 (138 Conyers)  At the top of the ramp turn left and at the second light turn left again.  Before you hit the sweeping right hand curve turn right donw the drive and you're there.

I was out there Tuesday.I was using a metal real estate sign and the ranger didn't say anything, another shooter close was using one as well.

He did write a warning to a guy who's target was not back towards the bream though. After that i asked the ranger and he said if your stand is not stood up at the rear berm so the bullets hit it that it needs to be at leat 5' tall so your bullets will impact the berm

So a 2' steel real estate sign stuck in near the rear bearm works.

The funniest thing i have ever heard is how they will not let you shoot clay pigeons laid on the berm, like the bullet will richocet after hitting it

Won't be able to make this one (either). Laid up at home doing pain pills and muscle relaxers still.

Firearms wouldn't be a good additive to the mix.

Maybe next time.

Bookhound, thanks for the offer. I really appreciate it. We're doing OK for now. The yard is OK as well. I was thinking about letting it grow just to piss off the HOA (remember that thread?). Anyway, I'm not totally off my feet so walking behind the mower is actually doing me some good. I am supposed to get the first epidural injection next week. Hopefully it will help avoid the knife.

To top everything else off, my wife got diagnosed yesterday with Grave's Disease and hyperthyroidism (which is directly caused by Grave's). Doctor is on vacation next week, so she has to wait until the 1st to find out what the treatment plan is. If it is severe enough, they may have to do the iodine radiation (I-131) treatment, which would put her in isolation while she 'glows in the dark'.

Treatment for Graves' Disease

After undergoing radioiodine treatment for Graves' disease, you will need to follow the guidelines and precautions in order to avoid potential radiation exposure to close family members and friends. These precautions should be followed for one week if you receive between 3 and 6 mCi of radioiodine, 2 weeks for 6-12 mCi and for one month if more than 12 mCi were administered (see section on precautions and preparation for RAI scanning and treatment)

Prayers sent man, let us know if you need anything and we should be able to help. I know people always say this, but I know that you know we mean it.

Try to keep a positive attitude, if you can.

I'll pray that everything turns out well for you guys.

The shoot was great!!  We had a lot of fun, and we both really liked the Kimber .45.  The kids were good sports about it all, but got tired and hungry after a couple hours and we had to cut it a little shorter than we had originally planned, so we didn't get to shoot the rifles very much.  I hope we can do it again soon.  (Hopefully we can get a baby sitter next time.)

Thank You!!  Geekdude and I both apreciate the way you have all helped us out. We had a great time, and it was nice meeting all of you.
