Did anyone buy any new toys to help quell the loss of arfkom for the better part of a week? Bradd_D, what will you be selling to us in a week or two? ![]() Saturday I hit up B&B Guns bright and early for a S&W model 37. Old model, too, still has the pinned barrel. Great condition, little to no cylinder float, great finish, only one booger on the edge of the cylinder. Even came in the original box. Now that she has a carry gun, Donna will start the CCW paperwork next week... |

Good choice for her. Mrs. BookHound carries the same gun. A friend of mine got robbed (burglary when she was NOT there) several (like 15) years ago. She was single and the burglary really freaked her out. So, she bought a NIB Model 37, fired it twice and put it back in it's original box in the nightstand. Many years later she found the gun (forgot she had it) and sold it to me with the original box of ammo (minus two) for $200. I felt like I got a pretty good deal on it. The Mrs. shoots it very well. I hope Donna is also happy with it. Anyway, to answer your question I haven't purchased any new toys. Got a few misc. things like some magazines (5 new Colt 30-rounders from Eagle Firearms) and some cleaning gear. No big purchases though. |

reject, I don't even remember, but 125 sounds right. I know for carry ammo she carries Federal Personal Defense hollow points. I'll check tonight and let you know for sure. Might want to pick up a speed loader or two also. The Mrs. keeps one in her glove compartment and one in a pouch in her purse. AR-9x19, I must say that Garand of yours we shot was SWEET. Go for another. |

Did not buy anything but did finish the new cammo job on the AR. 1 word "SWEET!" I will work on getting pics up and the next one I do I am going to do a write up with pics so everyone can do it. Im going to do it for under $50, that includes the price of the airgun. I think anyone can attempt this and the way it came out is 1st class. The hardest thing about it is taking that first step and thats to apply paint to a black AR. There are many people out there that would like this done and I think doing a tech write up will get more people into it and help bring the cost down so everyone can afford to do it. Ill do my best to get pics up here asap! |

First of all, it was nice to meet reject in person. I now know that at least one of you are not just my imaginary friends, but are actual people. I got some new parts in for my Bushy A2 superlight. Unfortunately, the YHM handguard was assembled incorrectly at the factory and had to be returned for a replacement. Approx. one week turn around on the replacement. I did get to keep the top half of the handguard, and it installs nice and tight and looks good, too. BTW, I had ordered the handguard, vert grip and tac latch from Bravo Company. Very fast delivery, very secure packaging, and Paul has been very helpful coordinating the return of the goofed handguard. Also have an Ambi Burnsed loop and Simple sling on the way from Daniel Defense. Its nice to have the site back up. Jon |
