Are there any shops in the good old NC that would like to start offering something like THIS?

I know if there was a shop that had 80% Lowers on hand and let me finish them in house I would buy some.

I can lend my jigs, but sadly cant share the mill Ive been using, not that I think you'd want to, its really, really bad. Last one I did lost depth zero and went .1" too deep, nearly ate through the bottom Still works though.

I don't have the information at work.

I will be moving to NC and would love an 80% shop in the state.

I haven't found a shop that would be willing to do this yet.

Hell I would be willing to buy a 80% for them to use there shop.

I have a mill in Pinehurst and we were talking about setting up a time to do it. I don't have a DRO to make it a TON easier. Spent that budget on a lathe

There is currently something in the works.

It is going to be tested here soon and should be made public after that.

Just got home from iiibdsiil little shop.

He spent about 2 hours verifying and teaching me how to use his mill.

I then started working on my two lowers under his supervision.

I screwed up the first one a little, but it still might work just not pretty.

I did a lot better on the second one, but not good enough for my OCD self.

I highly recommend him if you want to complete a 80% lower, and I will be going back to get a perfect one completed.

Thanx man

Old school tag, as I have an incoming 80% from Tactical Machining that's heading out soon for engraving and modification to A1 profile. Would like to get in on this once it opens up.

I have one too. Not sure that I have all the tooling necessary, although I have most of it.

You do CNC stuff?  I bought a cute little 4-axis rapid prototyper from work and have no clue how to program that G-code stuff.  I can use the provided wizards to do engraving, but nothing else.  I could use some help getting started.

The thing is tiny, but I think it might work for 80% lowers if ran correctly.  I got the little mill, some tooling, servo driver, CPU, software, and UPS for $200.
