On form 1 question 4i (state why you intend to make firearm) what should I put there?

"Any lawful purpose" seems to be the most commonly used phrase but it there something specific that has to be used in NC?
Getting ready to send stuff in and definately want to get it right the first time!!!!!

You used to have to use the phrase "research and development" in that box until recently. I'm not sure what is acceptable these days. I know they aren't as strict.

I have "research and development and collection purposes" on my 4 stamps.

I have used several reasons on my Form 1s and 4s:

"research and development"

"all legal reasons"

and last but certainly not least

"zombie protection"
