I have found over 100 Stripped lowers but they are in an adjacent state for $120.00. They are not on the web, you cannot buy them unless you are a resident of the state or hold a current FFL, they will not do phone orders even to transfer to local FFL. I would like to find a way to LEGALLY bring them into the NC market. They are 7075 T6 Palmetto State Armory. THoughts? Ideas?

I see no problem in buying a bunch of firearms for resale across state lines. /sarcasm

If you don't have an FFL and are not a resident of the state you are purchasing them, you can not legally pick a lower receiver up.  Only rifles & shotguns can be purchased by an out of state resident and then only from an FFL if the rifle/shotgun is also legal in your state of residence.  The ATF classifies a lower receiver as "other" so it does not fit that criteria.

Will the store ship to an FFL in your state if you are there in person?  If not, there really is no way for you to legally get those receivers.

Why don't you share the name of the store so some of the local folks may be able to pick up a lower at a reasonable price?  Personally, I am happy to hear of a store that won't ship out lowers and/or sets limits on the amount they will sell to one person.

Sounds like it's PSA. From what I know they usually haves lowers in stock at the retail locations.

I'm well aware of the laws. I'm not asking for legal advice. I am in the process of getting my ffl BUT My thought was more like  anybody know an ffl  holder willing to make a road trip but that problem has been solved.. If it all comes together,  it will be done very legally.

If you read my entire post I did say it PALMETTO STATE ARMORY. I'm not trying to hide anything I was sharing this info cause I'm tired of seeing people get gouged.

If there at palmetto state armory you CAN order by phone and you CAN ORDER ON the web. Then have them shipped to an ffl in your state. Or I believe you can have Psa put a lower parts kit and stock on the lowers then pick them up yourself but I'm sure there is a limit.

I did ask about the complete lower but they say that's a no  as well.....only complete rifles but I  am NOT a 5.56 guy so not really interested in a complete 5.56. LOL,  Also the retail store and the online store are two different divisions so their inventory are separate too. Either way I have a legal solution in the works. I'll post an update.

From what I have heard on other boards they will sell 2 lowers per day per person in their retail store - these aren't listed on their web store.  What it results in is people buying two stripped lowers and then immediately going out and listing them for $250 each on other boards/GB/etc (yes, I know, not above board if buying for the purpose to resell).  It is great they're helping out SC residents but everyone knows you help people out and they screw it up.

No, I'm sorry, but you cannot. I've been to the 2 different Columbia locations on 2 different occasions, spoke to different people each time, and got the same story. They won't put them online, they won't ship them to an FFL, they won't sell you a complete lower either.

PSA stores seem to always have lowers and had about 40 rifles between the 2 stores just 2 weeks ago. Pmags and ammo are also sometimes available yet won't be online.

The storefront locations and website are separate.  Just a precaution that most of the storefront people aren't reliable sources of information as to what the website is doing.

Our stores regularly have lower receivers in stock.  The website had a quantity of them in stock last week, but they sold out quickly.  We do not do phone orders, and lowers cannot be purchased in store then shipped to an FFL.

I hope that clears up some confusion.

Yep well I explored every legal way to get a PSA lower and even when they were posted on tue website by the time I hit add to cart  they were already sold out. SO I bought a del-ton for like 130.00 from a gun store in Concord. They had 1 and it came in that morning and by lunch it was in my hands. Hyatts in charlotte tried to rip me off to the tune of initially 350.00 for the same del-ton then 250.00 then rudely told me to f-off when I persisted  that the price was rediculous. Furthermore I spoke to a former hyatts employee who was fired after he refused to mark prices up over 8 TIMES MSRP. He had already marked it double before refusing the absurd. Bottom line hyatts is full of dishonest ownership, management and practices. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! But thats just my experience /opinion
