Dixie show is in town.
Anyone going? |

Hi Everyone. We'll have two guest workers at the gunshow on Saturday. - Matthew Binko: He is the manager of our store at Ft Riley, KS - Chad Roberts: He is the manager of our store at Ft Campbell KY. Chad is a genuine "Kentucky Colonel" (Think Daniel Boone and Colonel Sanders). They were both in town visiting our corp HQ, so we had them stay over to work the gun show. Pleae say hello to them. Jason and JJ will be there as normal. Sorry, none of our Customer Service chicks will be there ![]() ![]() Maybe next time we'll bring the whole CS staff: ![]() |

I know that there is a whole big part of NC besides Raleigh. What you guys that live there fail to understand is that you don't matter! lol.
Went to the show. Is there something going on politically that I don't know about? I mean besides the (hopeful) imminent booting of obamalamadingdong? Because The line to get in was longer than the line that occurred just before Oblammo was elected. Which was at that time record line for me. It stretched all the way past the turkey shoot used to be then. This line would have been longer then that (they placed it in a different place this time. The crowd had a ton of children and women far more than you usually see. For some reason there were a ton of guys with tacti-cool back packs on of every description and a whole bunch of cowboys in western garb and your normal fat slob cammo types. There seemed to be a lot of bikers or biker club guys around too. Maybe I saw all this because it appeared to be a much more well attended show than normal There were a ton of guns walking out of that place and hardly any brought in for sale from the general show-going public. There also was quiite a few new tables and a few more WTF vendor there (Jewlry? come on some herbal drink stuff) To me even airsoft is marginal. Prices I though for things weren't too bad, but you had to be selective as to who you purchased from. Some were, It's what?!....Please say that again..... to Eh.... not bad. Ton's of Glocks, S&W M&Ps AR-15s. the usual. Not that many full battle rifles like M1A, Cetme, HK-91, FAL.. but they were there just not a-lot Saw a smattering of Ke;-tek PM-9 some sigs very few HKs ( too expensive I guess I mean its just a gun not gold. The most striking this was people were buying, and back in the corner was the funniest display of anti-Obama bumper stickers I've seen some were very funny. and all were true. |
| Went to the show today, the place was packed. it was hard to even move form table to table. Nothing seemed over priced but not many deals either. Bought some Magpul itmes form guys at Quantico Tactical and a few odds and ends and then just could not take the crowd any more and left. |

Thanks for the write-up. Probably gonna sit this one out due to the crowds and NFL games... 4073 |

I couldn't go on Saturday, so I went on Sunday and it was still packed. There was so many people it was hard to walk the isles.
I got a few good deals: - traded some 9mm brass for 45acp bullets - come glock grip plugs - some targets - a couple of ar mags ( you can never have enough mags) no good deals on AK ammo, I saw $229 PER 1000 case. oh well, back to reloading |
|
I went both days and ended up getting a great deal on a Garand stock set. I got VERY lucky and even though I purchased all three pieces from three separate dealers I was able to get an all USGI set with VERY close matching colors. Oh and a knockoff Eotech for another rifle heh.
As for it being pack, packed is very right. Colonel Chandler at Iron Brigade told me he hadn't seen a show this full since the show following Obama's election. |

I'm still waiting for more details around a couple of accidental charges that occured about 11:30 on Sunday. My son and I were along one side when we heard two very loud pops towards the center of the venue and could see a small group of folks scrambling, jumping over tables, etc.
Anyone else there at that time? |
