You can't buy stripped lowers because they could be turned into pistols. It must be a rifle lower i.e. rifle/carbine extension installed. Others have said this was no problem but I'd call them first to make sure they're not too busy. |
| They will sell you a lower but they must install a pistol buffer before it leaves the store and the 4473 will be marked as a rifle. you should call ahead to make sure their smiths have the time to do the install while you wait, as they are busy building uppers and lowers for the internet customers. I went down with a buddy from NC and they did two for him. I think it was an additional 30 bucks per lower. |

PSA implied on the Industry forum that the ~$50 stripped lower deal will also be offered on their website sometime soon. Perhaps around Labor Day? If so, they already have my dealer's FFL on file and I will be forced to place an order. So, keep watching the site, I sure am.

I told my spousal unit about Monday's shindig and she suggested we drive up. When I told her about the rifle giveaway she grinned and said she might let me borrow it from her.
I think I'll keep her.
