We've got a good 3-4 inches worth. Charlotte is still flying as I can hear the airplanes overhead ... haven't ventured out onto the freeways yet but the side streets are a big mess, slush, water, and snow.
The kids are having a blast sledding down the golf course. |

And with the declaration of a state of emergency by the Lt. Governor it is illegal to carry a gun off your own property in NC now. Weren't the NRA suing that? Anyone know status? The Second Amendment Foundation is taking that case on. The NRA. Claimed that they got behind the MC.Donald case, but reality is that it was the Second Amendment Foundation that won the MC.Donald case .The NRA had almost nothing to do with that ,despite there claims. Oh and by the way I am a NRA. member so don't get me wrong I am not totally bashing them. |

I live in Morganton and It is still snowing this morning and we allready have six inches. The neighbor kids built and Igloo Same story here in East Burke. Probably 4-6 inches setting on the ground right now with another 1 inch or so expected, still snowing at the moment. We did lose power last night from about 11:45 till about 1:15, the duke power site for outages jumped from 459 to 1935 reporting power loss around that time. Still, bravo to the guys at Duke, they got it back on pretty quick. Looks like Forsyth, Guilford, and Meck all seeing quite a bit of outages this morning too. http://www.duke-energy.com/north-carolina/outages/current.asp |

My mom claims 4"+ in Wake Forest/Louisburg area. I'm not in Charlotte but hear they have 6". I'm in NJ, right outside of Philly, in the heart of the storm and they're calling for 16"!!! It should be fun in my 2wd pick up ![]() That's about what we got here in CLT |
I thought I left this white, devil powder up in NY when I moved to SC!!!!
Just some flurries today here in Myrtle Beach. It's sticking a little bit, to cars and stuff, but not to much else. Still beats having to dig my car out of 3' of snow last winter up in NY, when I was leaving work at 4AM. |

I'm in NJ, right outside of Philly Are we getting Pat's or Geno's? Be careful on the way home. Btw Paul you forgot to add milk. It's a staple round here to gut the local markets of bread and milk at the first sign of frozen precipitation. Yeah, bread and milk ... for me it's pizza and Pepsi! (got plenty of both) Freezing out there now ... ain't venturing out on those streets. I'm living out in the sticks and the plows/salt/sand trucks don't come out here. Hopefully Tuesday's weather will melt this stuff and the world can return to normal. |

Is that the joint that was on Man-vs-Food? Are you coming home through the Triangle? Yes it is, right around the corner from the sports complex(Eagles, Phillies, etc.). Yeah I go through the Triangle but stop at my mom's in Wake Forest/Louisburg just to break up the 9hr drive. Too bad a cheese steak wouldn't be the same after the 7hr drive
