It's time for a reminder folks Sat. the 21st. Its time for the tactical match. Complete with friendly people good weather and a great time. Don't forget your pistols too. Now this is the important part it starts at 8:30 am. Register early shoot early. The NEW line up is in play. If you come late you shoot late. Plan your day so you can shoot the whole match. We will try to run it as smooth as we can. Every one should plan on pasting target. This will make the match run faster. Thank you Hi folks I just found out that we will have food and drinks at the match. It wiil be a fund raiser for the Young Marines. All the profit will go to this great cause. I believe it will be hotdogs chips and drinks. If it goes good this maybe an on going thing. Of couse we will still have water on the stages for everyone free of charge. Thank you for your support. |

I've been kicking around the idea of tiring this out. What kind of gear do you need to get out there and not look like a moron ? IT's always good to be prepared so carry a spare mag for your long gun and side arm. At last months match we were required to make a pistol mag change. Some guys put mags in their pockets, some have duty belt set ups, and some carry a chest rig. IMHO......... a sling for your long gun, OWB holster, a few mag pouches, long pants, and eyes & ears. Click on the links below for pics/videos of a match and check out what a few were using. PHA June Tactical Match Pics July Tactical Match Video |

What's the entry fee? $10.00 per caliber and $5.00 each caliber after that. EXAMPLE: You enter the .223/5.56 AR match, cost is $10.00. Then you decide you want to enter the .22 AR match which would be an extra $5.00. I've seen .22 AR's and .223/5.56 AR's every month I've been there. As the entries grow there was talk of adding a pistol caliber AR match giving us 3 caliber classes. As of now the few pistols caliber AR's have been run with the .223/5.56 matches. ETA: I have yet to see any actual pistol AR's run though. All have been long guns. |

I think they were going to allow it at the last match.

Rifle...sling optional pistol...holster At least two mags for each ammo A way to carry the mags...mag pouches but pockets will do shooting glasses hearing protectors Can we do a rifle mag change instead of transition to pistol, or must we use a pistol? |

Also from CSF/Roger has posted....
I have some gun magizines to give a way. That got me thinking about a table to have down on bay 2 [it has the most room] a free, trade or sell table. It will have to be self monitored. If you have items for trade or for sale it is that persons responsiblity to monitor it! THE PHA. CLUB OR RANGE OFFICERS WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE! Tag your items bring a list of stuff or pics. if you do not want to leave it on the table. I hope this works out and we will have the table there every mo. |

Thanks Glen you guy do a great job supporting these kids. All of the proceeds from the food sales go to the Young Marines. This is an ongoing thing for them they were out there last weekend for the Shotgun shoot also. |

I'm loving the transition from rifle to pistol stages.
No hostages were injured by me this time...I think.
