I recently bought a lawnmower that uses gas, and I am supposed to avoid entahonl blended gas...however, most stations from what I can tell blend their gas with ethanol...
Does anyone know of a station in the Charlotte area that does not do this? I work near Tryon and Woodlawn, and live in Lancaster county. So anything down to Ballantyne, or even into SC would be good for me. Thanks! |

If you can find a gas station that sells "marine fuel," that is gasoline with no ethanol blended into it, I believe. Or maybe just lower levels. ...and its price reflects it. Marine fuel is $$$$ but if you must use it, I'm sure you wont go broke running it in your lawnmower. |

I'm working in and around the tank farms today off Freedom Dr and I asked them for you. Motiva (Shell) is expanding and adding a tank for ethanol. So is Kinder Morgan, expanding for a new tank as well. All of their customers get an ethanol blend for gas now.

I like my gas with all the great additives like sulfur and zinc, like it used to be, without any of this additive, replacement garbage.
The environment argument is a joke. I'd like to protect my motor better, not (supposedly) the blue footed boobies of the world. |

I have an airplane in the works, and I don't
want ethanol in my fuel system. As far as I know now, Ingles does not use any ethanol yet. It's a simple test to check, for it, too. But I have been wondering if one could add distilled water to the blended gas & pull the Ethanol out.... I'm sure there will be some gummit bs that says I can't, but I wonder if it will work... After all, alcohol bonds to water. It's very easy to see the difference. Just pour off the gas & pitch the rest. Thoughts please... John |
