That there is nothing on google today.

Usually google has something around the name on "special" days. little animated dancers on cinco de mayo or surreal letters on Salvador Dali's birthday. Meteor showers,Teslas birthday, Olympics, you know important things.

Here it is 9/11 one of the most important anniversaries in modern times and google sits there just lonely letters.

Guess today was not important enough to impress them.

Good call.  That (and more) is why I abandoned Google more than a year ago.  That and I don't like that they monitor your searches and match adds to your interests.

I agree with WUFMAN, how quickly we forget. We forget the 9/11 event happened, we forget the actions our President took in response to 9/11, we forget the men and women who put their life on the line everyday for "us", we forget the men and women of our local police and fire departments that place their lives on the line for "us",  We sit safe in our homes, watching TV, surfing the web and have no idea that certain agencies of the United States  have prevented further attacks on American lives since that fateful day 8 years ago. If the average American only knew a fraction of the intelligence gathered in the previous 8 years, they would be too scared to leave their homes.

I cant call it an event, it was an attack. An attack at our very way of life, at the core of america. Not only have i not forgotten, but i am still insanely pissed off.

Well they can commemorate crop circles today ( 15 Sept 09) but 9/11 was beyond them
