On August 20th my application will have been gone 90 days. I do think this is normal. What do you all think. Have some of you guys had similar wait times?
Thanks, James |
| 90 days is optimistic, there is one woman at SLED processing all of the applications. I waited about 120 days to get mine (got it last month). Is it 90 calendar days or 90 business days? If it doesn't get processed within 90 days the law says it's automatically approved... but it doesn't say that you're going to get your card in 90 days. |

They are running about 100% more applications than same time last year and are operating with 30% less staff. They are currently taking at least 90 days.
On line renewals were 15 days, now they are minimum 66 days. Make sure to renew right at 90 days. Also, form requirements and certification requirements for new applications changed on July 1, so if you used an old form you might get it back. As of April 6, no personal checks any more. Just wait, it will likely show up in an envelope with nothing else. |
