I used to know of two outdoor shooting ranges in or around Florence but i have no idea if they still exist.  I am moving back to the area and am trying to figure out where im going to be able to shoot.

The two i knew of but dont have any current range or contact details on are Wildlife Action and some place i never went to out by the Flea market on the way to the beach.

Anyone know of some locations or information?

Thanks,
Major

Black Creek Gun Club up in Patrick is really nice––covered shooting positions, 150 and 200m rams and a clubhouse, but it's a drive––at least an hour and a half from Florence.

(I'm tagging this thread with interest.....I live in Camden, and the closest range is Manchester.  Manchester is a nice range, but it's only 100 yds––I can shoot 100 yds in my back yard, so there's no reason to go there.  I'm looking for more distance to stretch the legs on my new rifle without having to spend all day in the truck getting there)

Mid-Carolina Rifle Club? Reasonable drive from Camden. Not so for someone in Florence.

Mid Carolina looks like a really nice facility, but I can't afford $500 for the initial joining fee.  Black Creek costs me $36/year and they've got the same 200 yds (actually 218 yds)

$500? Are you sure? I used to be a member there and there was no such membership fee (it hasn't been that long, either)

100% BS

Mid Carolina's membership fee for a standard membership is $150 per year plus a one time application fee of $25.

If you live more than 75 miles (in a straight line) from the range the annual cost drops to $75 per year.

I went to the website before I posted.

"Our club is a private member-owned/operated facility. Membership dues are $100 per year plus a one time initiation fee of $400 ($500 one time cost to join). If you are interested in visiting or becoming a member, please contact us via email or by phone to arrange a visit."

Try http://www.midcarolinarifleclub.com , not Mid-Carolina Gun Club.
