I am wanting to put a YHM Mid length rail on my AR. The one problem I have is my AR has a carbine length front end. Could i just put a low profile gas block on underneath the rail.
Please any suggestions would be welcome.

Yes, you can do that, you can also run a rifle length with a lo-pro gas block.
