| do anybody have any deer corn for sale in greensboro or near by thanks |
| Not sure what part of Greensboro you are in but I get my corn from the county prison farm just north of gibsonville. I also get some a few more miles north of it on highway 61. You can always get it from Gander Mountain but I have never used that corn so do not know if it is any good or not. |

Post up the findings! Up here in McLeansville they used to sell a big bag (25-30lbs?) at the Food Lion but since ETHANOL caused the price of corn to double, there's been no bagged corn on the shelves. I have a few packs of deer in the woods behind my property (US70 up to Harvest rd)... there were 3 BIG males and a half dozen young bucks as well as 3-4 does but I think someone bagged the big bucks. Anyway, I started laying out some corn for them a couple years back when the drought was pretty bad and thanks to development, the poor bastards didn't have much in the way of a sustainable food supply... aside from our gardens! I feed them pretty much because I feel sorry for them and in doing so, they lay off the gardens slightly... also, my dog LOVES chasing them into the woods (lab mix)... they don't seem to mind the workout either as long as they get their meal. Yea, post up who has a big bag of deer corn and what the price is. Oh yea, McKnight's hardware on East Bessemer (1/2 mile east of US29) DOES have the bags but that's usually right before season. I'll check there this coming week and request they stock it year round... I'll post the results. |
Any feed store will have you covered southernstates.findlocation.com/results.aspx?page=default Tractor Supply maybe closer to ya, too |

Denton, NC it's $8.00 for a 50# bag - just bought 6 bags last week, also saw a place on hwy 49 coming into Randolph county advertising $8.50. That's about double last year's price. I was at Bass Pro in Charlotte this week and they had 40# bags for $7.99. Walmart should be getting some in soon also. Unless something gives, i'm guessing $10 or $12 will be next year's price. |
| I would expect the price of deer corn to go up $5 more per bag this year than what it cost last year. I bet a 100lb bag of shelled corn sells close to $12 a bag. Pot ash, liquid nitrogen and diesel fuel prices have doubled from last years costs, plus the price per bushel is at a record high. Flooding in the heartland didnt help either. |
