If you pay to camp overnight, does the fee include the range fee? Thanks in advance..... BG |

When I was there for the ARFCOM camp/shoot, the clerk at Eldorado let me buy two dated one-day passes at once, so you can pick up a pass for each day you're there without making a trip out of the forest every day. As far as camping, you can just pull off the road and camp, or there are the campgrounds (never used them, so not sure on fees). |

So let me get this straight.......I have camped (tent and pop-up) there twice. Both times at the campground (paid). You have to get a range pass at the local store(s).....right.....Is it one for every shooter (adults and children)? You can just pull off anywhere and camp at no charge? Thanks for the info.... |
Yep. Adults, yes; one pass per adult per day. I think there may be something special for children, but I'm not certain. nooneimportant may know. I have seen tents set up at random intervals off the road, and ARFCOM did it over Easter with no consequence, so I think it's safe to say you can do it. |
Hmmm...sounds good to me...little camping, lots of shooting, bring the bike and throw in some riding...my idea of a great weekend... |
Take 49 to 109 south till you see the Eldorado Outpost on the right then go about 1/2 mile and you will see the entrance to Uwharrie. If you are driving in a car I would recommend that you take Mullinex road entrance which is about a 1/2 mile before the Outpost its paved most of the way. You will take Mullinex all the way to the end of it then take a right and take that to the end at the gravel road take a left take that till it ends at another gravel road take a right and the range will be an your left. I wish I could go again this weekend but I will be in Goldsboro to have my new custom front bumper put on my Trooper. |
