Fixed it for ya.  It would likely be difficult to access, but for a runaway diesel engine the most effective way to shut it down if you are brave enough is to deprive it of oxygen.

I've heard tell of supercharged diesels sucking phonebooks through them.  Its very scary I'm sure and I wouldn't want to be near one.  Or in the same zipcode.  They either run themselves out, explode, or you have to get them to shut down.  Make combustion impossible.  Since removing the fuel is not going to be an option, you displace the oxygen needed to burn the fuel.

I looked up the specs on that thing. He welded 2 1/2" steel plates with Concrete between it.

Yup...I was thinking of doing the same thing to my lawn mower.....I am tired of the man sticking it to me!!!
