| Stopped in Saturday and spent a couple hours in the store and shooting in the indoor range. Great bunch of guys! If your ever in the Fayettville area stop in. |

I think they'll order stuff reasonably for you there. Their prices early on were pretty decent but it seems to have gotten like most stores - higher and higher. I remember Jim's when it was one small building. Went in one day and the dude behind the counter was going out the back door with a Class III customer, a shorty M16 w/30round mag and some earmuffs. BLLLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP! right outside. Back in they came, finished the deal and Mr. Full Auto went home with a new toy. Pretty cool. |
| You guys want a good gun store and range you need to buy this place Range-1 Pete is closing up shop and I've got 8 years left in the Army otherwise I'd buy it. GP was a great shop back when they were in the whole in the wall and didn't have the range, oh well I guess overhead grows so you just jack up prices. |
I thought he closed down a few good months ago? |
| I used to hang out there a lot when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg and liked the staff a lot. There prices weren't that bad the last time I bought a handgun there in Feb '05. I got a nice 1911 for about $200 less than MSRP and did about the same on a DSA FAL in Mar '04. Their range is great, the only downside is it only goes to 25yds. The guys that work there are true gun guys and will help you out with anything you need. They would even help me find stuff I was looking for if it meant buying it somewhere else. They also put me in touch with a great gunsmith that works on S&W N-frames, Glocks, and ARs out in Hope Mills. GP was the exact opposite of a Fudd shop IMO. I've been looking for a place like GP that has a nice air conditioned range, tactical gear oriented employees, and true gun nuts ever since I left Fayettenam. |
