Anyone going to the gun show in New Bern this weekend (16-17 Jun)? Has anyone been to a previous show here, is it worth the trip? Thanks |
| Don't waste your money at Sherwood's yard sale and gypsy junk shows. On Hwy 70 there is Ed's in Newport and it is a good shop to go to and very nice people to deal with. New Bern also has Field and Stream which is across from Craven County Social Cervixes not far from Glenburnie. It's about a 1/4 mile from BK and McDonalds. |

I went there once,,,,,, won't make the same mistake again. Just go see Danny @ Ed's. he has pretty good prices, and decent service. I say "decent" due to the fact I called and asked for some prices on a long range AT&T rifle (you know, reach out and touch someone). Never heard back from them. That was the first time they let me down. They lost out on $1100 to $1600 dollars. I went in FTF and told them too. They know me and when I start pricing stuff and gathering info, ima buy somin'.  I'll go back in. Also check out Operators Warehouse in Jacksonville really good shop, lots O tacticool stuff. The range in Havelock. He has good prices and great service, just has to order most stuff. Stay away from Fagwoods, I mean Flatwoods  . Now here is a twist.. the ROs are cool but the weeinies in the shop are  hummm who else.....Hardesty's Guns in Morehead is OK. There is a shop in Ayden that is decent, been there twice, was looking to can an AR and his prices seemed steep, but I may have not understood him right. I have info on a lot of shops in NC (eastern to Greensboro), been to ALOT of them. |
