Can anyone tell me the status of this?  Is it a go?  I travel SC for work and it drives me nuts that it is the only state in the southeast that doesn't honor my GA permit.

It looks like it's stalled. I would have thought that all states would have reciprocity with their neighbors.

You would think.  I don't understand why SC is stubborn about it.

I believe the reverse is true also.  GA doesn't honor a SC permit.  Maybe why it's stalled?  Haven't heard.

Because SC doesn't recognize GA's.  I believe GA recognizes any state that recognizes the GA permit.

Do like Blackriflefever did and get a NH non res permit.  That $20 will save you the trouble.  Where in SC do you travel?

I had already looked non-resident permits that would work

I travel to Greenville, Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston.

Starting to sound like a vicious cycle...

We don't recognize yours cause you don't recognize ours.
And you don't recognize ours cause we don't recognize yours.

Sounds like politicians at work!
