www.catalpaworms.com/ Make great bait! My friend has a tree in his yard full of them. I picked a bunch last weekend and froze them in cornmeal. I read that they can be stored indefinitly in this manner. Great tree to plant around bug out acreage, natural source of bait. The wood is also excellent for building (minimal shrinkage, insects don't like it). A great all around tree. |

Catalpa worms are one of the best natural baits out there for panfish, i.e., bream, crappie, etc. My Dad and I used to catch a ton of fish on those worms whenever we were lucky enough to get some. If I were you, I'd guard the location of that tree like it was Ft. Knox! |
