www.wxii12.com/index.html Ran a story on today's noon News that stated that North Carolina Statuates allows Convicted Felons to posess long guns in their homes or cars, "as long as it's not automatic". WXII actually reported that felons are allowed to purchase and/or posess firearms in their home or car, as long as they are not automatic. WXII made no mention of Federal Firearm Laws prohibiting the purchase or posession of any firearm by a convicted felon. Barry Klaus(sp?) at "The News Desk@WXII" told me "We read it off the AP wire" |

i'm not suprised they pulled some crap like that. after all, these are the ones who find someone who just had an accident and ask "how do you feel? how did you feel when you ran into that tree?" etc. "we not only report the news. we tell you why its important to you."! i'm glad you called their hand on it. seems like they were pretty sensational in their reporting of the CCW when it first came out as well. |
