I'm looking for some recommendations on some pistol training in the STL area. My buddy wants to take some classes to improve his skills. He is beyond the very basic stuff, but just needs some technique refinement and such. I'm not looking for any tactical training. He doesn't care about faster reloads and shooting under stress and the like. Just normal instruction to improve accuracy and such. Suggestions? |

I hate to send anyone to Ill for anything, but I know a guy right across the River in G.C. who has been doing training for awhile now and they just opened and Shop and training Facility... https://www.facebook.com/SoteriaTrainingSolutions/?fref=ts He is a member here and through work I've known him for several years and can vouch for him being a good guy. |

Accuracy from rested positions? With any training the goal is still to hit things |

It seems like most of the classes I'm finding are basic "I've never shot a pistol" class or advanced tactical combat stuff. Just looking for something in between that. He may have to go the one on one instructor time route. |

Try Armed Missouri Inc.
Chris has a defensive pistol class that's really good. I've taken it twice, once on a beta test run and again just this fall. He's in Bland, Mo, maybe an hour or so from Stl. Also Bob (RJTCCW) had a next step class that sounds about what you'd want. I'm not sure if he still does it,but hrs on the forum so just look him up. It's a good class to take. |

Thanks for the endorsement Cheap. Yes, I still offer the class on a demand basis. $50 and 200 rounds minimum and we will work on your defensive skill set. |

If he does end up setting one up with you , let me know. Me and the wife unit will come out and take it again. |

Class or just a friendly get together (which we haven't done in quite a while). Class means you get my undivided attention and instruction. Get-together means I get to harass you. Your choice. North side of St. Clair. Wait , I got attention and harassed when I took your class. Must of been a Groupon special. |
