Seen a few houses come up for sale out here. Houses were not what I'm looking for but the land out here seems pretty cool.
Anyone know anything about this area? I have to say until now I had never even heard of Orrick. |

Keep B12 levels up in the body, don't leave stagnant water laying around outside, and you should be fine with mosquitoes. We have mushroom hunted, deer hunted, dove hunted,.... around there for years and never had much of an issue. |

I'm from about 15 minutes from there. It's a nice area if you're the outdoors country type. It has good highway access straight to the city (KC), which can be convenient. I know a lot a people nearby, all great people. I'll be heading back that way when my current employer allows me to. |

I live in the county seat, Richmond. I really like the area. If you want the Orrick area, go north on O Highway from Orrick. Motorcyclists love that road because of the hills and curves. Or, go to Richmond and north on 13 highway. Or on 10 highway between Richmond and Excelsior Springs.
There is a lot of excellent deer hunting around. Richmond is okay, super walmart that always has ammo. South of there is Lexington, a nice town. |
