I've got a friend looking to buy a CMMG conversion kit for his carbine. Anybody know the best place to get a decent price?

Where is he at? If he's around Springfield, Eagle Armory on National has them, and IIRC, the single mag kit is $189, and the double is $229. I could be wrong, though. If he has facebook, they've got a page. Hope this helps!

Black Rifle LLC in columbia. I bought mine from Brownells a while back. Its a good choice BTW

I'm set up with a Dealer account with them and will be placing an order after Valentine's Day. I might be able to do a decent deal even with shipping from St Louis.

Around Columbia there are several options.

Black Rifle in the old Parkade Plaza (backside of building) on the business loop - they probably won't have the best price but they will have them in stock
Midway USA, you can order on line and go pickup out at the midway exit on I-70
Modern Arms, where Black Rifle used to be on Vandiver, Larry Wayland might have a good deal or make you one if you pay cash!
Patriot supply in Ashland has decent prices on many things and carries the conversion kits.
