| I have my Missouri CCW getting ready o expire in a couple days per my non drivers license. I was curious if there is a grace period after expiration that I can still carry or what e penalty is? I want to carry while deer hunting but I don't see how it will be renewed officially until after he trip is over. St Charles County takes up to 15 days to flip a renewal around. |

If your ccw endorsement is expired, do NOT carry concealed.
Doing so would be a felony because you would no longer actually have a ccw. Having a expired endorsement is no protection. Not that this helps but some people maintain a secondary out of state permit for situations like these. |

If I had realized it was getting ready to expire I would have done the renewal earlier. I actually just noticed it today while digging in my wallet the date. In years past a letter went out but I guess not this time. Oh well! No more renewal letters as they were issued by the DOR. Since the system is now handled by the local Sheriff's office we may but more then likely probably not receive a renewal notice. And one more question: Why the hell is St. Charles county taking 15 days for renewal? It should be a walk in, fill out the form, show them your current endorsement, pay the renewal fee, and walk out with the permit. |

Is it a felony?
Story time: About two years ago about 3 or 4 females from California came to a mall here in the KC area to do some stealing. They were caught and prosecuted. Well one of them tried really hard to get away. Myself and a KCPD officer ended up chasing one of the woman around on foot for a few minutes before we finally caught her. Immediately after detaining her the officer conducted a basic search of her. Well guess what....she had a loaded cheap 380 in her front pocket!!! It was a Jennings I believe. Anyway, after everything was said and done I don't believe she was ever charged for having the pistol. She WAS charged with shoplifting and other related crimes but never for the gun. Police took her gun of course, but I remember an officer telling her that if she can provide info/proof she owned it that she could probably get it back at a later time. The same woman had all kinds of outstanding warrants in Cali as well. They were all true examples of FSA. None of the police officers seemed to give a shit about her gun...I always figured nobody cared because the charges wouldn't have been serious enough to even bother with, but if it's a felony then that ruins my theory. I also saw a guy getting a shake down at a local shell gas station for having some kind of cowboy single action revolver tucked into his pants. The police just told him he couldn't carry a concealed weapon with out a permit and let him go. Gave him his revolver and the rounds they uploaded from it all back. Although he may have been arguing with them that he was OPEN carrying and not concealing it if that even mattered. |

Bah, if you haven't committed at least one felony a day you aren't trying hard enough. Quoted:
