just wondering, anyone in the kc area dive? i am going to take my pool dives this weekend with td scuba.

I am in St Louis but generally a very active diver, I did not get to dive the past year because of a busy family life and close local quarry closing down. You will find that there are people just as passionate about diving as people in here are about guns. Generally a good group of people to be around, especially groups of people that do a lot of local diving. Some people get certified and only dive on vacations (which is fine) and others (like me) will dive any midwest mud puddle I can get in. Have fun with it, and remember to Go Slow.

I am a diver (as is my wife), however with two kids we don't get to dive very often, and haven't dove anywhere locally.

Certified in 1971. After diving in Florida in 1981 it seemed pointless to dive in Pennsylvania. Gave it up shorty after.

I have been diving in WI (zero visibility and dry suit), Grand Bahama, Ocho Rios-Jamaica, and Cozumel-Mexico....as you can imagine...after diving those locations, diving locally just isn't as enticing :)

I was going to take diving classes at Table Rock lake just never got around to it...plus its like a 4 hour drive

I wasted a lot of money on a cruise once trying. They didn't have time to get me to regulate my breathing underwater and I got to sit on the beach alone for hours

I want to try again though, even if I'm more of a manatee now.

Even Manatee's can scuba :)

I wish I had the resources and time to dive more often...it is a ton of fun to me

I usually try to get to Bullshoals once a year. The diving there is usually great. And the spearfishing is usually great too.

I started 3 years ago, been to Cozumel 4 times now, a little addicting. Taking rescue diver this summer.

Been diving for over 18 years. Did it for a while "on the job", but now it's for fun. We dive a lot of the areas in and around STL. Never really dived up in the KC area when I lived there.

We've got lots of primo diving places here in KC. Troost Lake, Lake of The Woods, Missouri River bottoms...
