College graduates... I have two (2) openings for Insurance Underwriters. In COLUMBIA, MO. These are entry level professional positions. NOT SALES POSITIONS.
Pay starts around $34,000. - Very good benefits! Hours M-F some weekend work. 8-4:30. (Professionals normally work beyond "normal" hours.  )
I work for a very conservative Fortune 500 company that is almost 100 years old. We have offices in 26 states. We have never had a layoff in our history. EVER! Being very conservative means that a suit and tie are required. These are the basic minimum requirements 1. A Bachelor Degree. It doesn't even have to be in business! 2. Minimum overall GPA 3.0 You will be asked to prove it. 3. An extreme desire to learn a skill and become an expert. 4. Good communication skills. (Both written and oral.) 5. A desire to place others success above your own. I am not talking about being a doormat. Instead, seeing that the real way to "get ahead" is to see others succeed. Believe me, they will push you up the ladder! Do you have the desire to be the best? Are you willing to do what it takes to be an expert? Our interviews usually take about 2 hours. I have a Bachelor of Science degree and carried a 3.9 GPA. I'm good at math and statistics. I worked in telecom before I was laid off.
I like Columbia, rode bicycle trails around there a few times. I live in KC now. Unfortunately, I'm heading to the lake area for a few weeks to take care of the animals while my parents are away. |
