Today is a canning day. Almost Everything Is Out Of Our Garden.. So far we have done

Salsa
Green Tomato Relish
Working On Pickled Watermelon Rinds

Next is Sugar Free Grape jelly  
Tonight Will Be Canned Venison In Tomato Sauce

Doing a garden this year has been really rewarding. I didnt think I'd enjoy it as much as I have. What has really surprised me is how much me and my wife have enjoyed working it togather.

I have been trying to get my girlfriend into gardening, but it's kinda hard for an apartment on the second floor I've also been hinting at her keeping a coupon book and saving on groceries. She's all about that. But hasn't done anything with it yet Might have to get her started lol. "Here's some pretty scissors honey, and a Sunday paper... Now cut."

Jury is still out for me. Im gonna chill it tonight and see what I think when its cold. Kinda a sweet and spicy taste.

I did about 6 gallons of pickles over the last several weeks, I hoped to do more but the cuc's have pretty much gave up the ghost.  I finished up canning salsa for the year on Friday.  Between me and three of my buddies, we cooked 50 gallons in four evenings.  If the z-pocolypse comes any time soon, I'm gonna need a lot of chips.  And TP.
